I attended an new parent orientation at my son's middle school.  The parent of a previous student was leading the discussion espousing on his admiration of the school.  He offered that he was a parent volunteer and occasionally made presentations at the middle school.  Turns-out he was an astrophysicist.  I then took my daughter to her gymnastic's class and started speaking to a mother of one of the other children in her class.  You guessed it -- the mother was an astrophysicist as well!

 

It's quite easy to strike-up a conversation about globally-warming or blackholes anywhere in Boulder with practically anyone!
